Brazilian Blow Dry…Safe?
There has been a lot of recent press about the safety of Brazilian straightening treatments lately (namely the formaldehyde they often contain) and I thought it worth posting this press release by Kerastraight.
Response To ‘The Sun’ Article 14th September 2011
We would like to re-assure all our salons and their clients and all of The Sun’s readers on the Health & Safety of our Brazilian keratin treatments. In January 2011 we launched our pioneering, breakthrough technology – low pH protein which makes any sort of aldehyde or formaldehyde completely redundant.
Our KS Complex Treatment, Colour Protect Treatment and KS Intensive Treatment are all free from any aldehyde, formaldehyde, formaldehyde by any other name or formaldehyde releasing ingredients and this has all been independently verified by Intertek
In an earlier newspaper article published in March 2011, KeraStraight was actually lauded as ‘The Gentle Alternative’ to previous Formaldehyde based products that delivered and conclude “best of all, the effects are as good as the previous generation of treatments.”
Transparency is paramount to KeraStraight Ltd and full data sheets are available online and on request. The well-being of our salons, their teams and their clients is central to our philosophy.
We take great pride in our openness and our anyone who has any concerns should please call us on 0845 459 0026 where we will be more than happy to answer any questions.
